6 Star Diamond Elite Beach Body Coach Success Story

I have definitely had a couple crazy months recently and I have been working a couple extra hours, sacrificing a little sleep, but now that qualification period is over, those few hours sacrificed has paid off!!
I am so thrilled to share exactly what this excitement is all about!!
So most of you know about me, but just for those of you who are new at visiting my blog, I am a mother of 2 amazing boys ages 18 months and my oldest will be 3 in 2 weeks! They are my life! I also have an amazing husband who at one time wanted nothing to do with health and fitness until I had a transformation.. He now is involved with everything I do to maintain my healthy lifestyle! I am a nurse who is just so passionate about helping others. Something I added just 1 year ago into my life was starting a new career as a Beach Body coach. My job is to help others live a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.  I educate people on clean eating, along with exercise so everyone can get the most out of their journey. I started this journey of coaching when I was going through my own transformation. I was in a challenge group (support group through Beachbody) using Insanity and Shakeology, and was so happy with my results I was getting and how much energy I had! My cravings were gone after using Shakeology, and I was just feeling different than I ever did with any diet I tried.  What really hit the spot with coaching, was my results were not just a phase or diet I was on... this was something that you can live off of.. its a lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise.  I wanted to share my journey and transformation with others so they can see its real.. it is not just another fad diet. I also realized you can exercise as much as you want, but if you do not have the nutrition part down, your results will not show.  After changing my nutrition, that is when my results were most evident to myself and everyone around me.  
I ended up losing 40 lbs and 25 inches! This was from start to finish using Insanity, Turbo Fire, P90X, and the Ultimate Reset. I also incorporated Shakeology, our health shake meal replacement every single day. I know nutrition can be tough to plan, so this was something that worked so well for me.  One less meal to plan and purchase at the grocery store!
Since I had my transformation, I really got into coaching and have been helping so many people! I set new goals for myself and one thing I did not do was set big goals.. I was the type of person who is afraid of writing something down and not accomplishing them, so I would not write my huge push goals because of the fear of failure.  I wanted to feel that sense of accomplishment and I knew if I didn't write them down, I would not be let down if I didn't make those goals... Do you ever feel like that?? 
Let me say its the worst thing to do! If you do not write your goals down, there is no sense of urgency. You need to give yourself deadlines, that importance, and accountability to yourself to reach what is truly important to you.  I know this because once I finally wrote them down, I worked harder than ever, and stayed committed to my goals. I was consistent and didn't give up until I reached them!
Now that sense of accomplishment is so much better because those huge goals I once thought were impossible are now met and it's time to make bigger goals!
I want to mention 2 of my goals that were too big for me to write down and mention my other goals that i did write down.

My goals I did not write until just 4 months ago:

Month by month, I was getting very slowly showing progress, but it was honestly not until I wrote my big goals down, that everything was changing before my own eyes... more people asking me to help them reach their health and fitness goals, people wanting to coach with me on my team and help others, and my paychecks increasing each week.  I was growing as a coach, leader, and person! I have been learning more about myself than I ever have.. how to communicate with others, and how to really put others before myself.  One of the greatest accomplishments though is also having my family included in all of this.  Supporting me and being healthy with me and allowing me to take the time to help others. 
Since I had so many people that had the same passion for helping people, I ended up creating my own team which is now called Forever Fit! It's all about living that healthy lifestyle and making it something that is long term vs something just  temporary.  We are in this for the long run.  

So what is Forever Fit all about? Forever Fit started with me wanting to help anyone who was willing to get healthy.. I ran challenge groups to help people stay accountable and motivated to reach their goals.  Many of these challengers are the ones who ended up joining my team because they saw this is exactly what they needed to have that lifestyle they have wanted. As my friends and acquaintances saw what I was doing, they became interested and wanted to have the opportunity to make a career with health and fitness... they wanted a job they would love.  So as more and more coaches joined me, we became one team.. Forever Fit!! The coaches on my team have taken time to help others, to dedicate themselves to live this healthy lifestyle themselves. It has not been always easy for all of us, but in the end, we can all say this is such a rewarding career and not one of us would trade in this opportunity that was given to us!

I have now added over 30 coaches to my team and have over 100 members and it is growing faster than ever! This did not happen because of me... this happened because of my amazing coaches who are so committed to their health, along with helping others with doing the same exact thing.. GETTING HEALTHY!  It's all about promoting health and preventing illness and diseases! We are adding years to people's lives just by educating and motivating!! 

Since growing my team to something so amazing, I can now say my goals have been reached... Not just the 2 star I wrote down, BUT the 5 star ELITE... Actually, I went a little further and went to 6 star Elite! I have to recognize my amazing Diamond coaches who have helped make this happen.. Who have put in lots of work, dedication, and consistency to get to this Diamond status!

Michael Gowan: Michael was my first Diamond coach that works full time, is a full time father of 2 awesome boys and he is also my cousin! He not only has a passion for health and fitness, but also for personal development.  He is definitely the preacher type.. Someone you can always rely on to brighten up your day, but also take you to reality and help you see the greater things in life.. to be thankful for what you have.  He went to Diamond in just 90 days! 

Jen Morris: Jen is a stay at home mommy of 2 amazing boys, 1 which was diagnosed with Autism.  Jen has spent so much time with figuring out the best ways to make her son less symptomatic with this illness. I will say she has done such an amazing job.  She has officially been nominated by me as the Queen of clean eating!  She has practicing with clean foods, raising her own animals so her food has absolutely no chemicals that can affect her son's behavior and illness.  This is helped her with having her son on less medication and his illness is more controlled, thanks to her dedication to her family.   Jen went diamond in less than 60 days!! This is crazy, and something not many people are able to achieve!

Alisha Smith: Alisha is yet another amazing coach who literally surprises me every week with an awesome come back.  She started as just a challenger wanting to see her fitness and health results.  As she started using beach body workouts and Shakeology, the challenge group gave her so much motivation that she totally blew it out of the water with her results.. She has lost over 40 lbs and 40 inches!! She could use soooo many excuses for not following through.. she is a full time mommy of 4 (youngest being less than 1 yr old), she owns her own bakery (yes I said it, BAKERY), she is a full time Spanish teacher, and now is coaching with Beach body full time! HOLY man is this is busy momma!!! She lets NOTHING get in her way! She is so dedicated and committed to her health and family, it's unreal!!  She also became a Diamond right around 60 days!!

Andrea Youngblood: This girl right here was one of my first coaches who wanted to coach as a career.  She is not only a mommy of 2 amazing sweet little boys, but is also a full time nurse.  Yes, we work together at 2 jobs! She sees enough of me that is for sure lol!! But she started coaching after getting great results with P90X and wanted to incorporate Shakeology and other workout programs and help others on their journey as well!! She has made such an awesome team for herself and is definitely more of the teacher type!! She has had an amazing transformation as well!! Andrea is such a go getter and love that she will take on any challenge that comes around! 

Lauren Penrose: Lauren is a mommy of a beautiful little girl Nora, a Physician's Assistant, and also my sister in law! She has lots of knowledge on health and fitness and wanted to apply it even more to help people get healthy, so she decided to coach on my team and has been so successful! She has reached Diamond rank just in around 60 days! Lauren being a new mommy, and a full time PA still has dedicated herself so much to helping others make that healthy lifestyle for themselves! I am so excited to say she is now going part time as a PA to focus on being at home with her daughter and work from home as a health and fitness coach with Beachbody! So proud of you!! 

Cody Penrose: Cody is my husband of 4.5 years, my rock, and my support.  Although he was not always supportive of me taking hours away from family to work on the computer, he has seen a huge change in me.. He sees the excitement when I get a challenger's result that they have lost a number of inches or pounds, or when one of my fellow coaches rank advanced.  He sees the passion in me with this career and knows I am so thankful this opportunity came for me to officially stay at home with my children!

Yes, I said it.  After 1 year of working as a mommy, nurse, and Beach body coach, I have achieved my goals of 6 star ELITE Diamon, ranked #109 out of over 140,000 coaches, and am able to quit my job as a nurse and work only from home! I will say I will never completely quit my job as a nurse, because I love helping people and having that interaction and communication with others is so rewarding, but I am so happy to be able to work relief. I will work when I want, and have the best of both worlds being home with my kids, while still working as a coach to help everyone!

I do want to mention a huge part of my success came from my up line coach and cousin Melanie Mitro. She has been there for me the entire way throughout my journey.  She is the #2 coach in the Beach body company and the founder of the Dream Team.  Yes, I am still a part of this team! It is awesome to have a mentor to guide you into the right direction, which is exactly what I learned to do.. Be a leader and mentor for my own coaches to help them grow.

Week of Christmas Exercise/Meal Plan

I cannot believe its Christmas already!! Time is flying! I know Christmas is tomorrow and I have been totally slacking on getting my presents wrapped for the kids! I just finished at the grocery store, so I am getting ready to start prepping some food!!
I do want to mention how excited I am so stay healthy over the holidays! Now, I know it is difficult, but I am keeping myself accountable by starting a Beach Body Challenge! I started P90X3 yesterday!! I cannot help but when a brand new workout comes out, to get started right away! Our Beach Body programs have done wonders for my body and health so I have to keep the ball rolling!! Yesterday, I did synergistic and LOVED IT!! Today was agility and again.... LOVED IT!! I love that the workouts are only 30 min each and includes weight training! Nothing like burning calories, even after your workout right?! OH YEA!!


I know many of us do not have time for the gym, nor do we feel comfortable going to the gym.  Many do not want to start at the beginning of the year because you will not even get a spot of the elliptical or machine you want.. This is why I run challenge groups!
What are Challenge Groups?!
They are closed groups I hold on face book (no one can see them but the challengers) and each challenger picks a workout of their choice to follow and drinks SHAKEOLOGY (health shake meal replacement) once daily to help maximize your results! I coach each challenger 1:1 to give tips, recipes, and help with meal planning. I give motivation and support to help keep you accountable for reaching your health and fitness goals!

Why SHAKEOLOGY?!
Why do I require Shakeology?? Well, first off, it is the ONLY meal I can assure you are getting all your nutrition you need in a daily dose.  This is an entire meal, that includes your protein, fat, carbs, and every bit of nutrition you need every day! When I say all your nutrition, I mean 1 shake is equivalent to going to the salad bar 6 times! Your multi-vitamin is included! Crazy right?!? Almost hard to believe! But I am here to say, YES, there is such a health shake out there! Now, please.. I do not compare these to protein shakes or weight loss shakes.. These have way more than just protein in them.. These do not only aid in weight loss... It is the whole foods in the shake that give you the health benefits to make the domino effect that will help you lose weight.. The natural ingredients that give you energy, decrease cravings, improve your digestive system.. this is how your body craves more healthy food, therefor, you end up losing weight, or maintaining your health!

Now, most of us know nutrition is 80% of your results right?! Well, if you did not know yet, you do now!  So, I stress the importance of clean eating all the time! I mean, it is crucial for your weight loss/fitness goals! You can workout 2-3 hrs a day and eat like crap and will not see results! But incorporate clean eating and exercise and you are buying yourself a HOT BOD!! So here is what my meal plan looks like for this week!

I make my meal plans weekly, so I can stick with them! There is NO turning back! Its all about keeping yourself accountable and take action for your goals! The holidays will be over, but those goals are NEVER going away!

Just some tips to keep you on track over Christmas:
1. Pack extra HEALTHY snacks-esp when your away from home, do not allow yourself to have the excuse that nothing is available for you! You are in CONTROL!
2. WATER WATER WATER! Stay hydrated and drink lots of water! If you drink other beverages, your thirst will increase. Water also helps you know when you are really full vs hungry or bored. 
3. DON'T forget your goals! Keep a picture of motivation saying on your phone to look at when your feeling a little tempted!
4. Holidays are for celebrating with family and friends, NOT EATING! Remember the real meaning behind the holidays!
5. Just because you have been eating good does  NOT mean you can treat yourself like a dog! We are human, we reward ourselves with clothes, pampering ourselves, but don't take a step forward and 2 steps back because you felt you did good for a week!
6. Get your workout in early! If you get it done before everyone wakes up or you have company, that is a HUGE task that you feel a HUGE sense of accomplishment with! 
7. Share the health with your family! Make a dish for your family that is healthy! Do not sacrifice your goals, for others! You may be surprised on who enjoys your healthy recipes!!
8. PORTION CONTROL! If you are going to eat what makes you happy, please at least help yourself and use portion sizes! You do not need 2 servings of mashed potatoes! Its going to go right to where you do not want it to... YOUR BELLY!!
9. Just be satisfied with 2 bites! I love the 2 bite rule.. Honestly we all know the 1st bite usually tastes good.. the 2nd even better.. but after than, its EXTRA CALORIES WASTED!  Even better, when you take that bite, ask yourself if its really worth it? Does it really taste that good?!?! Then, make the decision on if you should eat it or not! 
10.  Do not eat 3 hrs before bed. you do not need the extra calories at night.. I mean, your not working out in your sleep right?!? ;)

There you have it, ALWAYS remember your goals, NEVER settle for less, but ENJOY the holidays!!  BE SAFE!! BE HEALTHY!!

Cauliflower Pizza Crust (clean)

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups cooked, riced cauliflower (1 head of cauliflower)
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (2 1/2 for crust, plus more for topping)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano as substitute)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Toppings of your choice

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Prepare pizza pan or cookie sheet with non-stick spray or olive oil.
Cut off florets of cauliflower in to medium sized chunks and discard the large stems and leaves.  Place in food processor and pulse a second at a time until cauliflower resembles rice (careful to not puree by over-processing).  Place the diced cauliflower in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, get to preparing any toppings that require cooking.  You will want to make sure all toppings are cooked beforehand.
When cauliflower is done cooking in the microwave, let it cool a bit before adding the rest of the ingredients (we don’t want to scramble our beaten egg!).   Add 2 1/2 cups shredded cheese, the beaten egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and olive oil to the cauliflower and mix well.
Pour out on to the pizza pan and spread out in to a 3/4″ thick circle with a spoon and/or rolling pin.  Clean edges up by patting towards inside of the pie to avoid any thinner spots that may overcook.  Place in 400 degree oven and bake 25 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
Once finished, allow to cool for a few minutes before adding toppings – this will help it firm up a bit.  When you’re ready, place back in the oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Enjoy with your favorite toppings!!!  
P.s. I Recommend using lots of veggies to keep it healthy!!

Clean Mediterranean Pizza

Mediterranean Pizza


I am not sure what it is with me and Mediterranean, but I have a small obsession... ok HUGE obsession lol! But as long as I can make it healthy, Im good with it! Tonight, I made my family this awesome clean Mediterranean pizza and my boys absolutely LOVED it!! 
I just realized I totally forget to add tomatoes on my pizza lol, so I'm adding those in my recipe, but its still great without too! 

Ingredients:
1 tube whole wheat pizza crust ( for 9 inch round )
1 large tomato
2 heaping cups raw spinach
3/4 cup organic pizza sauce
4 oz 2% mozzarella cheese block
4 oz feta cheese
3 tbsp Kalamata Olive slices
1 tbsp fresh Basil

Directions:
Roll out whole wheat dough into pizza crust onto a large round pizza pan.
Pour pizza sauce over crust and even out, leaving crust only 1/2 inch around the pizza.
Add raw spinach over sauce and cover the entire pizza.
Slice Mozzarella Cheese into thin slices and cover pizza on top on spinach. Add 4 oz feta cheese.
Slice tomatoes into thin slices and set on top of cheeses.
Add Kalamata Olives.
Sprinkle Fresh Basil on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 17 min.
Let cool for 5 min before serving.

Oat Flour Crepes

I am soooo in love with breakfast food its not even funny! Not only is it so good for you to jump start your metabolism for the day, but I just love how breakfast foods can be eaten any time of the day and still fulfill your cravings!! So I know some breakfast foods that taste really good need lots of time to prepare, BUT not today!! My son and I had a BLAST cooking these together!! 
It's a simple recipe that is quick and literally 3 ingredients to make! So here it is!

Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (ground into oat flour)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk or any dairy/non-dairy milk


Use a food processor ( I used a magic bullet), and add the oats in to blend into flour.  
Then add in the egg and almond milk and blend for about 20 seconds.




Use a frying pan to cook the crepe... I spray a little olive oil on so it does not stick.  


Pour a thin layer onto the pan and cook on medium for 4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side for an additional 4 min. 













Remove and set on plate... Time to make the filling and toppings! So for the filling, I just used what I had laying around.. So used 4 TBSP of plain Greek Yogurt, 1 TBSP Almond Butter, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon!
Mix together and put on crepe!



I cut up 1 banana and put half of the banana inside the crepe with the filling, and left just a couple for the topping!

It's Official- 5 Star Elite Qualifying Diamond Beach Body Coach!

Today is an AMAZING day for me and ohhhh so much to tell! So, it is time to not only announce that as of today, I am a 5 star Elite Qualifying Diamond Beach Body Coach, but I want to tell my story of how I got here.. Right now it seems to good to be true, but I need to come to reality!

So 1 yr ago, I joined as a health and fitness coach with Team Beach Body.  I was in a challenge group in the middle of my own transformation, but decided to start my coaching career during my transformation because I was soooo in love with the workouts and what they were doing for me, but the SHAKEOLOGY (health shake meal replacements) I was drinking every day changed my health and body so much! 
I use to be the type who would exercise to eat... I would exercise, and then shove food in my mouth until I needed to wear sweat pants because I just made myself bloated to extreme! Literally, I was a HUGE fan of peanut butter and chocolate ice cream... oh and did I mention peanut butter!! haha! I would eat a half jar in one sitting... UNTIL Shakeology came into my life.. I literally started drinking Shakeology and within 2 weeks, those cravings for chocolate ice cream and peanut butter went away and my craving to be healthy increased... My digestive system improved and my bloating went away.. 
So since having these results, I decided to give back and help others who needed me to motivate them, to keep them accountable, and help them reach their health and fitness goals! Although I was not at my goal yet, I was able to have people join me on my journey and it was so amazing and helpful for everyone!  I didn't really start getting involved until Jan of 2013 with having challenge groups of my own to help others with their goal, but it was the best decision I ever made! My challengers started having these amazing transformations that were changing their entire lifestyle, and having people thank me for the motivation and that I am making a difference in their life... And this is what drove me to push harder, and go further into my career of coaching! I was also working as a Registered nurse part time, so having my 2 young children and a part time job, did not give me all the time I wanted to focus on this career, but I did the best I could! I talk about getting into a healthy lifestyle EVERYWHERE I go! I'm sure if you talked to someone who knew me, they would agree lol... Probably could say it was annoying.. I had many people start judging me for my new lifestyle, but I did not care because this is my passion!

He was NOT supportive of this as a career at all.. He would tell me this is not a real job and will go away after another year or so, and I will not go far in this.  If you know me again, lol, you will know that when someone doubts me, I push even harder.  My husband was also my motivation to be successful with this career. I wanted to prove I can make a difference in people's lives. That I can make up for those hours lost at my nursing job in the ER.  
I pushed, I sacrificed some sleeping in, going to bed early, and some time with my family so I can be successful and have an income so my family can live comfortable without worrying about money and living pay check to pay check.

Who can say things they do for themselves on a daily basis that you love can become a career.. I work in my workout clothes, I take lots of pictures of myself working out and my healthy food, and even my 2 boys working out with me! I am acting as a role model for my kids, my family, my friends, and I LOVE IT! I make my own hours.. It was my choice to put in extra time, because I wanted to get to the top. I also can stay home more with my children and not miss them growing up.  What an amazing opportunity! 
I continued working 15 or so hours a week and towards the end of the summer, I came in contact with most of my coaches who are now Diamond coaches and who has made such an impact on me! 
I swear, I have the most motivated, inspirational, and dedicated coaches EVER!! Five in particular I want to just point out because they got me to where I am today.. These coaches have put in lots of time, commitment, and work into their health and fitness career, and I am so proud of where they are today.  Andrea Youngblood, Alisha Smith, Jennifer Morris, Lauren Penrose, & Michael Gowan.  This crew are my five diamonds.. They are leading by example and every one of them have a transformation from using either Beach Body workout programs, drinking shakeology, or incorporating them all into their daily regimen.

I also have to give lots of recognition to my up line coach, mentor, and cousin Melanie Mitro. She is who got me started with Beach Body and I could not be more blessed to have such an amazing leader guide me to success! She always listens to me vent, even if I call 5 times a day, she helped me through all my struggles, and helped me through my moments of success!

I literally went from a diamond coach, to a 5 star qualifying in 5 weeks. I am now a 5 star Diamond, Elite Qualifying Coach in 7 short weeks.  
You are probably wondering, what is Elite anyways?!?
Being an Elite Coach means you are in the top 1% of over 100,000 Beach Body coaches in the company..I work with integrity and passion.. I help everyone who wants my help!
I feel that is how I got to where I am today.  When you are an Elite coach, it is the highest recognition for coaches.  An Elite coach gets bonuses, VIP seating to all events, and even gets to go to events a day early! I am so thrilled to have even gotten this close, because my goals were actually not even to be in this position!

Now I want to talk about goals! WHY?! Because if you do not make goals in life, then there is no priority to reach anything.  I make goals all the time.. I set them, but I break through them! 
I want to tell you what my goals were this year. 
In January, I had a goal of Diamond in a year... isn't that what all new coaches have? Diamond is such a high rank! Yea, but when I got to diamond at the end of March, it felt no different lol.. Its just a name that many people get to with hard work.  I needed to feel different, which is why I made a new goal of 2 star and making 1000$/week by the end of the year 2013! I made this goal in August 2013.. I had no diamonds on my team, but I knew I had a few that were going to be successful very quickly!  When I said that goal, I had Melanie my up line coach and my Success Partner tell me no... Your goal needs to be 5 Star Elite.. I am going to be completely honest.. I had NO idea what they were talking about!! 5 Diamonds in less than 6 months?? ELITE?? I literally just started building my team!! So I said ok to make them happy...
It was not until after I got off the phone with them that I realized what I did. I made a commitment to something and I am now obligated to that.  I do not commit to something and not follow through.  That is how I always was and how I will always be.  Here I am today, after pushing, having good communication with my team, setting weekly/monthly goals with my coaches, leading challenge groups, leading Apprenticeship and Emerald groups that I have achieved all my goals plus more for the year 2013! 
5 Star/6 Star and Elite Qualifying, and reached my 1000$/week goal! I am now able to cut my hours back as a nurse even more to focus on my passion of helping other live a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle!

This was my 2013 goal board, every one was reached but 1 and it is almost fulfilled!! What I am getting at is if you want something bad enough, you will do what it takes to get there.  Make goals, and take action. Don't give up on your dreams.  You do not want people giving up on you right? 
Chose a career that truly makes you happy.  I promise, I am living proof that it is possible to fall in love with your job to where you wake up wanting to work.

P90X3 Officially Released!

Today definitely feels like Christmas! I have a slight obsession with all Beach Body programs, but I'm especially excited for P90X3! Every workout program I used has given me great results, but this time is different. It has literally EVERYTHING I want and need in a workout!
