Team Beach Body-My Transformation

One year ago, I was completely unhappy and Im not going to lie, FAT.  I was happy with my beautiful family, But inside, I felt miserable.  I was uncomfortable with my body, even in front of my husband.  Let me ask you a question.. How do you expect someone to love you if you cannot love yourself?
I had to do something, and it had to be quick.. Not a quick fix though.  I wanted to just completely change my life altogether… More like a LIFESTYLE change! I knew if I did Adkins, or even Medifast, once your done with those diets, that weight comes right back on one way or another.. You simply cannot live off that food.. Well some of it is not even real food.  I LOVE my food and did not want that taken away from me. 
So I decided one day after my cousin who is a BEACH BODY COACH contacted me to join one of her CHALLENGE GROUPS with BEACH BODY.  I was skeptical just because there are so many fad diets out there and did not have money to just blow… I mean come on, I have 2 small children both in diapers, we were building a house, I was taking Master’s classes, and working in the ER. How could I possibly afford to eat healthy right? 
I just one day decided to take a leap of faith after being so disgusted with myself and start the challenge. So I started with INSANITYand drinking SHAKEOLOGY once a day. The workouts would help increase my metabolism, and the SHAKEOLOGY would be 1 meal a day to replace full of nutrition, so that would really help me with the nutrition aspect. 

After 30 days, I was losing lbs inches, but even more importantly, I was gaining energy, losing my cravings, and my digestive system was improving! These shakes were actually making a difference, and the fact that they are so easy and convenient for me, especially when Im at work and on the go helps sooooo much!  This was such a motivation for me to keep going!  Of all the times I spent in the gym getting nowhere, I’m finally finding something that works for me!!
So here I am now,  a yr later, 40 lbs lighter, and in the best shape of my life.  I have learned from my challenge group how to eat clean, and take care of myself, along with finding the motivation in me to follow through with my goals! I have been drinking my SHAKEOLOGY
 for breakfast or snack EVERY DAY.
I now am a BEACH BODY COACH!  I hold CHALLENGE GROUPS for everyone else, to give back what was given to me… The ability to follow through and succeed.  To reach your ultimate goals, to make that lifestyle change!

Chocolate Shakeology Pie

Chocolate SHAKEOLOGY Pie



This peanut buttery chocolate pie is rich in flavor but low in calories.

Total Time: 1 hr., 10 min.
Prep Time: 10 min.
Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients:
• 2 scoops Chocolate Shakeology
• 1 container tofu, silken firm (approx 12 oz.)
• ½ cup natural peanut butter
• 2 Tbsp. skim milk
• 1 premade whole-grain graham pie crust

Preparation:
1 Place peanut butter, tofu, Chocolate Shakeology, and milk in blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if necessary.
2. Pour into pie crust and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.

Spicy Roasted Red Pepper and Feta Hummus

 Home made Spicy Roasted Red Pepper and Feta Hummus


Ingredients:
15 ozs garbanzo beans (drained)
1/2 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
4 ozs red bell peppers (roasted, drained)
3 tbsps lemon juice
1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp salt ( I use Himalayan Salt)

Directions:

Place the garbanzo beans, feta cheese, drained red peppers, lemon juice, parsley, cayenne pepper, and salt in the bowl of a food processor; blend until smooth.

I like to put my feta right on top, but you are free to do what you like! 
I also use both veggies or black bean chips to dip my hummus, so you have different options whether you can use extra carbs or would rather stay away and have some more veggies!!

You can tell Im a mommy, dont mind the binki on the side haha!! 

SHAKEOLOGY NO BAKE COOKIES

Total Time: 10 min.
Prep Time: 10 min.
Cooking Time: None
Yield: 25 cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup all-natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
1 cup quick cooking oats
½ cup raw honey
1 cup Chocolate Shakeology


Preparation:
1. Combine peanut butter, oats, honey, and Shakeology in a medium bowl; mix well.
2. Roll mixture into 24 balls, each about 1-inch in size.
3. Flatten each slightly so that it is shaped like a traditional cookie.

New Challenge Group, great start to a new week!

Yesterday was the start of yet another challenge group that I am so excited about!! These people are so motivated to reach their goals and I am loving the positivity in this group!!!

You may be wondering… what exactly are challenge groups??
Challenge groups are 60 or 90 day support groups that I make on face book that helps people stay motivated and holds them accountable to reach their health and fitness goals.  This is a closed group that only the members of the group can see.  I post daily motivational posts, nutrition and health tips, recipes, and even help with meal plans, so you have the opportunity to maximize your results and learn the right way to make that lifestyle change!  
On your end, your job is to pick any Beach Body program of your choice and follow the schedule, eat clean, and drink SHAKEOLOGY once daily! This is going to improve your overall health and really give you the best results! You want 100% results, the tools are right in front of you!!
This is not about a diet just to get into bikini season.. This is a long term, in it for the long run type of change.  Its learning how to stay committed to yourself and learn a lot of self-discipline.  What I love about these groups, is you not only learn this new lifestyle, but you learn so much about yourself! 
I run these challenge groups every month, so if you are interested in making that change, I would love to have you in my group!  I limit my groups to 5 people per challenge, this way I can focus on each as an individual. 

So, since my new challenge group started, I become even more motivated, which I do not even know how I do that because I thought I was at my max, but I surprise myself each time! Today was a great day and had some awesome workouts, and awesome meals!


I woke up this morning at 5am, got my workout in and posted in all my challenge groups!! My workout today was T25 Beta Dynamic Core.  Definitely worked up a sweat!



I ate protein berry pancakes, which are sooo yummy and easy to make!! 






Snack was Shakeology with PB2 and unsweetened vanilla almond milk

































Lunch was Whole wheat English muffin pizzas ( I used mushrooms, onion, and red pepper) which is also another easy meal and awesome when your craving pizza!!

I did slack off on the rest of the day, I had nothing until after my Fit Club, which was a protein bar.  Overall, not bad though! I feel great, and btw did another T25 workout at Fit Club! So I definitely burned calories today!

BEACH BODY COACH-Job opportunity!!

So, I have been a BEACH BODY COACH now for some time, and each day gets better and better! I am loving what I do and want to share this opportunity with as many people as I can!!! So I want to take the time and invite YOU to join my team called FOREVER FIT!! I have awesome coaches on my team that love what they do, but I want to expand this even more! So I took a leap of faith after a friend said how much I inspired her and asked why I am not a coach yet and decided to become a BEACH BODY COACH!!!

Mind you, I was not at my goal weight, I am not a personal trainer, and I am not a nutritionist, BUT I knew how to motivate people and what I do know is enough about nutrition and exercise that I can help people lose weight,  tone, and reach what health and fitness goals they have!!  I now have lost a total of 40 lbs and am in the best shape of my life!! Yes better than when I was a cheerleader in high school, and  on the dance team at my college! This is my passion and I want everyone to have this amazing opportunity that I have!!  Yes, this is me and never thought I could reach my goal body by only working out from home and not having to use the gym!!

Focus T25 Week 1 day 3 and 4

I am almost through the 1st week of my BETA phase of FOCUS T25 and this is such an awesome experience!! So not only do I love that my agility is improving, but I LOVE incorporating weights into my workouts!! I missed using weights and love having them in my workouts now!!

My meals are great, and I am getting just enough calories throughout the day that I am not even craving snacks at night! I realize that it is so psychological with snacking at night.. Majority of people tend to be late night snackers more as an emotional eater or when they are bored.  If you find yourself doing this, try drinking Green Tea or read a book, OR go to bed!!! 




Eating breakfast makes me feel so powerful!! It gives me energy for the day!! 

1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 tsp flax seed and  1 1/2 tablespoon almond butter!!









I love working out, but something almost as fun is decorating your clothes to workout in!! I was going to throw this cheap shirt away, then I realized WHY not have fun with it!!?? So I put a little excitement to it!! :>)

Start of Beta Phase- Focus T25

Today is the 2nd day into my second half of FOCUS T25!! This is the Beta round, and holy moly its intense! For only 25 minutes, that is the most I have ever worked out for that amount of time!

Yesterday, I did T25 (Core Cardio) in the morning at 4am before going to work for 7am, then worked until 530 and went straight to FIT Club at 630.  Fit Club is a fitness class my friend/fellow coach and I hold together as a support group to help keep people accountable and motivated!  We are both nurses and work the same job, so we just leave one job and go right to another! I love this picture because this is us! Its real life and what we are really like. We are moms, nurses, fitness coaches, and love every part of our lives/careers! This is what keeps up going is by sharing our knowledge and motivation with others to help them reach their health and fitness goals! 


Today, my workout was Speed 2.0 and is definitely an increase in speed!! 

My meals have been great!  I have my SHAKEOLOGY for breakfast both yesterday and today since I worked at 7 am, I like to have my shake for breakfast.


I have been eating a lot of grilled chicken, spinach salads, veggies and hummus, and more chicken!! My liquid intake is water and I have been getting 60 oz each day.  I do need to increase that slightly, and I have been drinking my Green Tea when I have a craving coming on!
Tonight for my dinner, I had chicken and sweet potato fries, which were awesome!
How to make SWEET POTATO FRIES:
Cut Sweet Potato into long slices
Pour 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil on top and mix up with sweet potatoes
Sprinkle either Himalayan Salt or Sea Salt on top

Bake @ 400 degrees for 35 min or until cooked to your liking!

Mediterranean Grilled Cheese Sandwich


Mediterranean Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Meditteranean Grilled Cheese, Clean grilled Cheese, clean eating lunch recipes, healthy meals, P90x3 meal plan, T25 Meal plan, nutrition, feta cheese, kalamata olives, weight loss tips, health and fitness coach


Ingredients
2 slices rustic white bread or sourdough bread (I used Whole Wheat)
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil, divided
2 oz. Mozzerella Cheese (sliced)
1 oz. Wisconsin Feta cheese, crumbled
2 cups fresh spinach
4 Roma tomato slices
2 Tbsp diced black olives
1 Tbsp finely chopped red onion
2 tsp chopped fresh basil
1/4 tsp finely minced garlic (about 1/3 clove)
Freshly ground black pepper
Directions

Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a non-stick 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add garlic and spinach and saute until spinach begins to wilt, about 30 seconds. Remove from heat, stir in basil and set aside. To assemble sandwich, spread Mozzarella and Feta cheese over one slice of bread into an even layer. Layer tomatoes in a single layer over cheese. Spread spinach mixture over tomatoes then sprinkle olives and red onions over tomatoes. Season with freshly ground black pepper and top with remaining slice of bread.

Spread 1 tsp olive oil evenly over skillet, add sandwich and heat over medium-low heat. Cook until bottom is golden brown, about 3 - 4 minutes, then remove sandwich from pan. Spread remaining 1 tsp olive oil evenly along skillet, carefully rotate sandwich to opposite side and return to pan over medium-low heat. Cover skillet with lid and cook until bottom is golden brown, about 2 - 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
This may be my new favorite lunch!!!
